B:Music Summer School
/ Children and Young PeopleB:Music Summer School

B:Music Summer School is a week-long creative music making programme at Symphony Hall. During this week, participants will be led by our brilliant team of tutors to develop skills in improvisation, harmony and ensemble performance skills through the exploration of Jazz and beyond. This will culminate in a final showcase at the end of the week!
Participants will explore influential Jazz artists, learning key standard repertoire, as well as modern songs and genres that have been influenced by their sound today. With the support of our tutors, they are given the opportunity to connect the musical dots of Jazz, its musical journey and how it has and continues to evolve.
They will also
take part in additional mass workshops that explore different areas of music.
These will be taught by tutors of varying specialisms, such as:

- African Percussion
- Indian Classical percussion
- Jazz Improvisation
- Electronics
- Stage and sound tech
- Singing
