About National Children's Orchestras of Great Britain: Main Orchestra’s Force of Destiny Concert

NCO are excited to present its Main Orchestra for the first time at Birmingham Symphony Hall, for their 2024 summer concert!

At just 13 and 14 years old, the young musicians of National Children’s Orchestras’ Main Orchestra are some of the UK’s most remarkable young musicians, and their creativity, skill, determination and musicality is awe-inspiring.

Conducted by Harish Shankar, they will perform their Force of Destiny programme:

- Guiseppe Verdi’s Force of Destiny Overture

- Carlos Simons’s Fate Now Conquers

- Maurice Ravel’s La Valse

- Dmitri Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 5

NCO’s concerts are for everyone. Join us to discover the joy and energy that can be experienced in the presence of a wonderful children’s orchestra and support the next generation of musicians.
