Sampad’s Midday Mantra series stands as a celebration of South Asian musical traditions, enriching cultural experiences for audiences. In collaboration with B:Music, this programme encapsulates classical, folk, and contemporary styles, creating a captivating blend of world-class performances. Renowned musicians showcase their talents, providing a dynamic platform for artistic expression and cultural exploration.
Koyel Bhattacharya is an Indian Classical Vocalist in the Hindustani music tradition. She began her learning from home, under the guidance of her mother, Smt.Kanta Bhattacharya in Gwalior Gharana and has studied with legendary Pt. Manas Chakraborty in Kotali Gharana and her Guru Padmabhushan Ustad Rashid Khan ji. She adopted the Rampur Sahaswan style of singing, which features medium-slow tempos, a full-throated voice, and intricate rhythmic play. She also has exceptional expertise in the use of Sargam, Taankari,
and Tarana.
Koyel is a leading female vocalist of her generation having performed at many prestigious music festivals and with several international tours under her belt. She runs her own music academy, Koyental Arts in collaboration with Saudha Arts, UK.

Kuntal Das on tabla. Kuntal was born into a musical family and started tabla under the guidance of Shri Sukesh Sarkar at the age of 5 and continued for 16 years. Later, he also learned from Shri Subir Mukherjee and under the discipleship of the doyen of Farukhabad Gharana Pt. Subhankar Banerjee. His mother Smt. Krishna Das has also been a constant source of inspiration for him to pursue music. Kuntal Das is a B high grade artist at All India Radio, and he is a founder of Koyental Arts, a Centre for Indian Classical Music in Kolkata, India.
