The artist for Midday Mantra: Indian Classical will be Rekesh Chauhan BEM. Rakesh is an award-winning British pianist and composer. His performances have spanned from the Royal Albert Hall to prestigious venues across the world. Rekesh’s collaborations range from Nobel Peace Prize performers to Mercury Prize Award winners. Rekesh is the winner of numerous awards including the NIAA Young Musician of the Year 2018 awarded at the Queen Elizabeth Hall. He is an iTunes World Charts Top 3 artist and a TEDx speaker. Rekesh has been commended by the UK Prime Minister for raising awareness of mental health through arts. He is an Ambassador of the music charity Future Talent. Rekesh was awarded a British Empire Medal in His Majesty The King’s 2023 Birthday Honours for services to music.

Rekesh will be joined by Praveen Prathapan (flute) and Alok Verma (percussions and live looping).
