Welcome to the new Spring programme 2025 at B:Music! Including comedy, live music, dance and spoken word on our two world famous stages!

The new season showcases an array of performances at Town Hall and Symphony Hall. From West End and Broadway star John Barrowman to critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Nerina Pallot, February sees a varied and exciting programme. There is plenty more live music to choose from, with Mercury Prize-winning Badly Drawn Boy and Chris de Burgh, celebrating a remarkable and rare career milestone of half a century as a recording artist gracing the Town Hall and Symphony Hall stages in March. And April sees the multi-Platinum selling and Ivor Novello-winning David Gray, as well as Olly Alexander performing chart-topping hits and fan favourites.

Dazzled by dance?

The award-winning Daniel Martinez Flamenco Company presents Art of Andalucia, a stunning new show that places Flamenco dance at the forefront. Accompanied by live music and vocals, this promises to be an unmissable Flamenco experience on the Town Hall stage (7 February). Join Birmingham Royal Ballet and the Royal Ballet Sinfonia as they celebrate the ballets of the legendary Frederick Ashton, creator of works such as La Fille mal gardée, The Dream, Enigma Variations and A Month in the Country (15 February). Giovanni Pernice is back in Birmingham in 2025 with his brand-new live show, The Last Dance (22 February). The 2021 Strictly Come Dancing champion and BAFTA winner will take to the Symphony Hall stage once again with his company of world class performers. And having made a stunning return to the Strictly dancefloor, Amy Dowden MBE, accompanied by fellow Strictly star Carlos Gu, will share an intimate portrait of their lives and journeys in their inspirational show Reborn, in which the transformative power of dance shines through (10 March).

Crazy for comedy?

We're providing the laughs this Spring with a plethora of comedy A-listers to choose from. Stand-up stars including Bassem Youssef (2 February), David O’Doherty: Tiny Piano Man (8 February), Lou Sanders: No Kissing in the Bingo Hall (27 February), Jamie Lever (1 March), John Shuttleworth (6 March) and Andy Zaltman: The Zaltgeist (7 March) will be taking to the Town Hall stage for the ultimate feelgood night out. For one night only, Jason Manford is back at Symphony Hall with his brand new live show A Manford All Seasons (7 March). And following his run at the Soho Theatre and Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Jazz Emu brings his Knight Fever show to Town Hall (12 March). The show features brand new songs, and an appearance from the King himself.

Love live music?

Transatlantic Sessions returns to Symphony Hall, marking 30 years since the original TV series first aired. An annual focal point of Celtic Connections, the exclusive line-up combines guest singers and the celebrated house band, inviting them to interweave original material with age-old tunes and songs as they explore shared roots and find new common ground (6 February). B:Music is proud to host An Evening With Mary Chapin Carpenter, Julie Fowlis and Karine Polwart performing with their band at Town Hall (3 March), playing songs from their new album Looking For The Thread and from across their catalogues. Celebrate the music of The Rolling Stones with Leo Green & The Icons Orchestra, the most explosive Rock ‘n’ Roll orchestra in the UK along with their incredible singers (21 March).

The songs performed on the night will cover the incredible catalogue of songs from the world’s greatest Rock ‘n’ Roll band, from the 1960s classics that defined a soundtrack for the decade - (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction, Time Is on My Side, Get Off My Cloud and 19th Nervous Breakdown, right up until 2023’s Sweet Sounds of Heaven. And join Anastacia at Symphony Hall (28 April) to celebrate 25 years since her debut studio album was released in 2000. Blessed with a voice that resonates across continents, Anastacia is a musical force to be reckoned with. The powerful voice behind chart-toppers like multi-platinum hit I’m Outta Love, Paid My Dues, and Left Outside Alone has captivated millions, with over 30 million records sold and countless accolades.

Bring the whole family to Symphony Hall to experience Avatar: The Last Airbender in Concert (9 February). Winner of the prestigious Peabody and Emmy® Awards, Avatar: The Last Airbender offers a unique opportunity to relive the series with a live orchestral performance. The live ensemble features a fusion of Eastern and Western traditional instruments, all meticulously composed and arranged by Jeremy Zuckerman, the original composer of the show’s music. And that’s not the only family fun on the big screen to live music this Spring. How to Train Your Dragon: In Concert flies in to Symphony Hall on 28 March. A winner with audiences and critics alike, DreamWorks’ How to Train Your Dragon is a captivating and original story that combines humour, fire-breathing action and epic adventure! How To Train Your Dragon: In Concert features this acclaimed film presented in HD, with composer John Powell’s Academy Award®-nominated score performed live to picture by the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra in a thrilling experience for all ages.

We're bringing some world-class speakers with plenty of stories to its stages. The chart-topping daily news podcast The News Agents, is coming to Symphony Hall on its first tour, The News Agents Live on Stage (17 February). Hosted by three of the UK’s most respected journalists Emily Maitlis, Jon Sopel and Lewis Goodall, The News Agents Live on Stage will offer listeners an exclusive opportunity to experience Emily, Jon and Lewis’ takes on the biggest stories in news and current affairs… alongside a few surprises. And following on from the phenomenal sell-out success of The Celebration Tour, Neighbours is returning to the Symphony Hall stage, with a new line-up, new stories, and a brand-new reason to celebrate. Join some of your favourite faces from Ramsay Street as they celebrate four decades of the show’s history with Neighbours: The 40th Anniversary Tour (3 February). Expect surprises, never-before heard stories, and all the inside scoop on what life is really like in Erinsborough. Hosted by Leah Boleto, this will be the ultimate toast to over 9,000 episodes of Neighbours.
