The music charity responsible for Town Hall and Symphony Hall hopes to provide the incredible community of carers in Birmingham and the West Midlands with a brief moment of respite this Christmas by joining the Big Give’s Christmas Challenge 2020.

The charity has an ambitious target to raise £7,500 in just one week, during which donations received from 12PM on Tue 1 December will be doubled for seven days.

For the last five years, in partnership with Midland Mencap, Halas Homes and Queen Alexandra College, Birmingham's Town Hall has welcomed almost 3,000 carers and their families to an annual Christmas concert.

Sadly, due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year’s concert is simply not possible.

During this uncertain time, it is more important than ever to recognise the amazing job that family carers do for their loved ones.

This year, plans have had to change.

Despite that, the music charity still plans to create a moment of togetherness through music for this inspiring community with a virtual Christmas concert.

With just one donation, this project can inspire twice as many people.

Donations to Town Hall Symphony Hall between 1 – 8 December will be generously matched by the Patrick Trust & Big Give Champion, the Reed Foundation.

Donations will only be matched if made online at Town Hall Symphony Hall's Big Give campaign page.
