About Free Jazz Fridays: The Alex Polack Quartet

Alexander Polack is a Birmingham born jazz trumpeter. He developed an interest in jazz through multiple opportunities in his home city including Birmingham Music Service, MYJO, The Notebenders Big Band, Jazzlines and the junior jazz department at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire studying with Mike Williams and Percy Pursglove. He has recently graduated from Trinity Laban Conservatoire with the financial help of the Fela Anikulapo-Kuti Scholarship. Alexander is inspired by the music of Clifford Brown, Roy Hargrove, Kenny Wheeler and Miles Davis.
