About CBSO & The Orchestral Qawwali Project

Customer notice:

Following the announcement that the coronation of King Charles III will take place on Saturday 6 May 2023, the CBSO and Orchestral Qawwali Project have taken the decision to postpone this concert. It will be rescheduled to be part of our 2023/24 Season and the future date will be announced in 2023.

Any current ticket holders will be contacted shortly and offered a full refund.

Widely regarded as the biggest step forward for the art-form in decades, the Orchestral Qawwali Project has captivated audiences through its unique combination of Sufi poetry, Indian Classical dance and orchestral arrangements. Written and directed by composer Rushil Ranjan, the Project features the soaring vocals of Abi Sampa in effortless combination with rich orchestral arrangements performed by the CBSO and the dynamic grace of Amrit Dhuffer’s tabla.
