Everyone is welcome at Town Hall and we will do whatever we can to ensure that you have an enjoyable visit.
Town Hall Access Provision
Standing & Queuing
There is limited seating available on our Lower Bar level and in the Stalls foyer. These are dining style chairs without arms. There are some tables available.
We do not have a specific accessible entrance into the venue.
Flat & Wheelchair Access
There is level access to the entirety of the Stalls. There is step-free access to this area via the ramp at Door B. The stalls can also be accessed by the lift nearest the box office. (0)
Row A of the Circle is flat and step-free. This level can be accessed using either of the two lifts. It is then three steps per row for the rest of the Circle.
Row A of the Left/Right Circle ledge is level access. There are two steps to get to Row B.
There are dedicated wheelchair positions in the Stalls and the Left/Right Side Circle (2). If you would rather transfer to a seat your wheelchair/scooter can be stored at the door.
There are two lifts that can access the stalls and circle foyers. Due to the layout of the venue. The lift nearest the box office and the main entrance is the only lift that can access the lower level (-1) and the stalls (1).

There are accessible toilets on all levels.
At Town Hall we have one wheelchair that is used to transport customers around the venue when needed. This chair cannot be booked in advance and is primarily for emergencies.

Some of the distances you may need to walk:
- Main entrance to nearest lift: 25 paces
- Main entrance to furthest Stalls door: 75 paces
- Lift to furthest Circle door: 55 paces
- Main entrance to accessible toilet: 50 paces
- Main entrance to Box Office: 30 paces
Essential Companions & Access Scheme
If you need the assistance of a companion to attend an event, we offer a free companion ticket(s). These tickets are available for the majority of our events.
There is a limit on the number available for each show, so we advise you to book early where possible.

Urgent Toilet Needs
There are multi cubicle toilets on the Lower Bar (-1) and Circle (2) levels. There is lift access to all levels.
There are 4 wheelchair accessible toilets:
- 1 on Lower level (-1)
- 2 on stalls foyer (0)
- 1 on Circle level (2)
These do not require a RADAR key.

Assistance Dogs
We welcome assistance dogs. They can be kept with you in the auditorium or they can be looked after by a member of staff in the foyer. Please notify us in advance so that our Front of House team are prepared.
Some areas of the auditorium may be more suitable for assistance dogs to remain so please contact us if you have any questions.
Please note that some performances include loud noises and special effects.

Audible Information
There is a fixed induction loop at Town Hall that does not require a receiver pack to use. You will be able to utilise this from any seat.
Please contact Box Office for BSL and captioning provisions.
Miscellaneous
The entrance is on the Victoria Square side of building.
This is level access with two sets of automatic doors. The width of these doors is 130cm (4ft 3in).
We do not have a separate accessible entrance.
There is no onsite parking at Town Hall.
The nearest car park is Town Hall Multistorey Car Park on Brunel Street.
There is sometimes parking in Paradise Car Park on Great Charles Street.
Nearest tram stop is ‘Town Hall’ which stops right next to our main entrance and is level access.
The nearest mainline train station is Birmingham New Street.
