New York City’s pop-jazz sensation, Postmodern Jukebox is set to grace the Symphony Hall stage on Sat 29 Apr 2023.

Always a highlight in the run-up to the holiday season, this years’ most anticipated and prestigious Christmas TV advert sees Postmodern Jukebox join a stellar line-up of artists who have been chosen to represent John Lewis over the years including Lily Allen, Ellie Goulding, Bastille, Gabrielle Aplin and Elton John with their beautiful cover of Blink-182’s All The Small Things.

The advert features vocals from Mike Geier as his alter-ego Puddles Pity Party, (a 1800s-era clown) who found fame after debuting on Postmodern Jukebox’s viral cover of Lorde’s “Royals” back in 2013. The video tells the emotional story of a man learning to skate to create common ground with his new foster child, in accompaniment of Puddles’ stunning vocal – a poignant interpretation to reflect the country’s current mood.

Postmodern Jukebox has long been an impressive breeding ground for talent with guest singers, dancers and instrumentalists joining each tour, many of whom have gone on to become huge stars. Next year, they return to the UK for what is becoming a real ‘Must-See’ annual event.

Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox's ‘Life In The Past Lane’ Concert Tour is a celebration of the greatest 20th-century musical genres, uniquely fused with the recognisable hits of our own modern era, for the perfect patina of vintage and modern. This musical time machine will be landing in the UK next spring, taking the audience on an extraordinary journey through bygone music eras and will be bringing their innovative twist on classic sounds to Birmingham’s Symphony Hall on Sat 29 Apr 2023.
