AURI: Assisted Listening at Symphony Hall

AURI is our assisted listening system, designed to help customers hear performances and events more clearly throughout the auditorium.

The system can support customers who:

  • Use hearing aids with a T-Coil
  • Would benefit from amplified sound via headphones
  • Use AURI enabled hearing aids or other AURI-enabled listening devices.

Our team will be happy to help you access the system during your visit.

Using AURI with a T-Coil Hearing Aid

If your hearing aid includes a T-coil setting, you can use the AURI system with a neck loop and receiver.

Please visit the Box Office on arrival to collect an AURI-RX1 receiver and a neck loop.

Once connected, switch your hearing aid to the T-coil setting to receive audio from the system. You will be able to adjust the volume to your preferred level.

Using AURI with Headphones

Please visit the Box Office on arrival to collect an AURI-RX1 receiver and headphones.

Once connected, you will be able to adjust the volume to your preferred level.

Connecting with Your Own Compatible Device

Some hearing aids and listening devices can connect directly to the system without needing to borrow venue equipment.

These may include:

  • hearing aids with built-in AURI compatibility
  • compatible wireless earbuds or headphones

If your device supports AURI, simply connect to the venue system when prompted on your device.

Returning Loan Equipment

Please return any borrowed equipment to a member of staff at the end of your visit.
