Supersonic Kids Gigs present…

RACHEL AGGS [Trash Kit / Sacred Paws / Shopping]

hosted by Anna Palmer

Created by the UK’s premiere experimental music festival, Supersonic Kids Gigs are designed for families as a way of introducing children to experimental music – BIG sounds for little people!

Supersonic Kids Gigs take children (under 10) & families on an extraordinary musical journey. We create enveloping & multi-sensory experiences that inspire young audiences with a riot of sound that is sonically adventurous & feverishly compelling. Our aim is to introduce families to experimental music through live gigs, providing an opportunity to experience the beauty & inventiveness of live music. These events create a feeling of togetherness & belonging that is unique to collectively experiencing live music, this is what we want to share with children & family audiences.

For our Kids Gig festival special, we're excited to bring euphoric post-punk musician Rachel Aggs to the Supersonic stage. They have achieved international acclaim with their collaborative projects Trash Kit, Sacred Paws & Shopping. This show will be hosted by everyone's favourite alt-rocker and pyscho-storyteller, Anna Palmer from Dorcha.

Rachel creates joyous music with guitar, violin, and vocals. Alongside their distinctive guitar and vocal style, mixed a with lo-fi pop sensibility, they create zines and co-ordinates workshops that encourage women, non-binary people, and people of colour to form bands. Rachel has galvanised the DIY scene in London, and their current home of Glasgow.
