About Scheherazade: CBSO and Kazuki Yamada
Every note tells a story. Brahms wrote his Violin Concerto while on a summer holiday in the mountains, and with a soloist like Daishin Kashimoto, it’ll practically glow. And in Rimsky-Korsakov’s oriental wonderland the beautiful Scheherazade spins tales of adventure, magic and (of course) love. It’s a sonic adventure beyond the imagination: under Kazuki Yamada, it’s never sounded more colourful, more sensuous or more thrillingly alive.
