About Live at B:Eats Summer Series: Celebrating the 80th Anniversary of D-Day with Beth Belle

Inspired by B:Eats Head Chef, Lee Hollington, and his Hairy Bikers-approved Brummie Bacon Cake, we’re delighted to celebrate the recent 80th anniversary of D-Day in this special lunchtime experience which brings together music and food. Our Brummie Bacon Cake is a recreation of a World War II recipe that Lee’s Grandad created when serving in the Army, and during today’s lunchtime performance, there will be the opportunity to hear about the recipe, have a taste of the Brummie Bacon Cake, and a chance to buy some more to take home. Music for this performance comes courtesy of local singer, Beth Belle (one third of the renowned Bluebird Belles), who will be singing some of the wartime favourites from the era including the likes of We’ll Meet Again, The White Cliffs of Dover and Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree.

Between 12 – 2pm today, you can enjoy an exclusive 10% discount off any Brummie Bacon or Brummie “Fake-un” Cakes
