About Jazz Promotion Network 2023: Here To Stay

Running time  Start: 6pm. Ends: 11pm

With the conference title inspired by the name of the 1962 album by American trumpeter Freddie Hubbard – Here to Stay, we celebrate the resilience of jazz in all its forms and those who play, present and teach it. The conference will explore how we as promoters, agents, educators, producers, labels, venues, and musicians can work to maintain and grow the artform across the UK, Ireland and beyond.

B:Music & PRS Foundation Commission Premiere

This year B:Music supported by PRS Foundation commissioned artists BIGHEADMODE & Plumm to create a new suite of music. Birmingham based BIGHEADMODE consisting of Robbie & Ewan Moore, will be collaborating with South London based multi-instrumentalist bandleader Plumm, together they will be creating new music inspired by the iconic Midlands band Black Sabbath.

We can’t wait to see what our commissioned artists have in store for us, we’re promised sounds that range from funk to punk & heavy metal! You can join us for the premier of this new suite of music at the Jazz Promotion Conference on Tuesday 31 October.

As well as this exciting premiere the Jazz Promotion Network will also be showcasing the following artists from around the United Kingdom & Ireland that include; the Seonaid Aitken Ensemble, DUSKI, Marco Woolf, plus a special headline performance from our keynote speaker Soweto Kinch.

Please join us for this fantastic evening of live national music right in the heart of Birmingham.
