About Free Jazz Fridays: Glowseeker

Glowseeker exists to bring you bold, bright and beautiful sounds. This is the spirit of toe-tapping improvisation, soaked in all the joy of modern soulful music. Drawing from R&B, Hip-Hop, Electronica and Brazilian Popular Music; Glowseeker paint sweet melodies and crisp, vibrant grooves, over a backdrop of lush keys, quirky samples and dreamy synths.

This is a brand-new project put together by acclaimed composer-pianist David Austin Grey, who is featured alongside the sensational talents of Matt Holmes on drums, and Josh Vadiveloo on bass guitar.

Each member of the group brings skill and creativity to the stage and the combined energy is not one to be missed. Having previously worked with the likes of Courtney Pine, Soweto Kinch, Xhosa Cole, Hermeto Pascoal, Snarky Puppy, Black Voices, Birmingham Royal Ballet, Eliza Shaddad, Tony Kofi, Freya Roy and Jean Toussaint, the trio have collected a wealth of experience in their respective musical journeys. This is their time to create something extraordinary, as they seek out the glow.
