Tom Hutchinson Cornet

Glyn Williams Euphonium

Rounding off a spectacular European Brass Band Festival, the evening will feature a unique musical collaboration between the world number one ranked brass band, the Cory Band, and well-loved British trumpet star Louis Dowdeswell. A fantastic opportunity to hear some of the world’s finest brass musicians together for the first time performing arrangements of music from film, popular classics, and much more.

Recognised for his work with chart-topping musicians, leading orchestras and on TV shows including the X-Factor, Louis’ passion for big band music is equally well known to his 80,000 YouTube subscribers. The Cory Band, proud of its roots, also dares to step out of the traditional brass band genre to deliver a tantalising mixture of both blockbusting and beautiful music that amazes and captivates its audiences wherever it performs.

After the concert, winners from the weekend's European Brass Band Championships will be awarded their prizes in a short awards ceremony. The evening will then finish with a bonus free performance from Louis and members of his band during a festival closing-party on the new Symphony Hall concourse!
