About CBSO 2021/22: History of Soul
Get on board the soul train with Strictly singing star Tommy Blaize and acclaimed vocalist Vanessa Haynes as they take us on a musical journey through the history of one of the most important and popular forms of music created in the 20th Century. Exploring its early initial influences of Gospel, Jazz and Rhythm & Blues you can expect to hear a host of the greatest hits from soul legends such as Aretha Franklin, James Brown and many more.
